Information provided by Robbie Dinwoodie (nephew).

RNR Skipper Lieutenant John Dinwoodie commanded HM MMS 90, a motor minesweeper, from May to October 1942.

He was mentioned in despatches for brave or skilful conduct whilst escorting or protecting a convoy. This was for rescue operations undertaken during convoy PQ18.
