Thomas Lawson receiving his Medal of Ushakov from Russian Consul General Andrey Pritsepov.

Written by Lynne Brown (daughter), edited by Natasha Ellakirk.

My Dad, Thomas Lawson served on HMS Undaunted. This ship was part of Operation Tungsten, the Naval air raid on the Tirpitz, in which it also formed distant cover for convoy JW58.

Thomas sadly passed away on 30th January 2015 a few weeks after receiving his medal (photo). It was a very proud day.
