Morris Lord served as an Asdic operator on HMS Obedient from late 1943 onwards. Pictures show the crew of HMS Obedient and a Christmas message from Morris to his parents.

Also pictured is Ernest Farr, who was also an ASDIC Operator on HMS Obedient from August 1943 to July 1946. He was 17 when this photo was taken. Many thanks to Lyn Dennis for putting a name to this picture.

We have been privileged to work with the Russian Arctic Convoys Museum Project and to support it every endeavour since it was launched. It is important both for Russia and the United Kingdom to preserve memories of this most heroic page of our War time Alliance as a tribute to the Veterans and for the sake of future generations.
